The NGF held its 6th Internally Generated Revenue Peer Learning Event to better understand tax data formed digitally and have the opportunity for different states to present their feedback on tax initiatives in their respective states.
In attendance was Hajia Dr. Zainab Shamsuna Ahmed, Honourable Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning and his excellency, Kayode Fayemi, Chairman of Nigeria Governors’ Forum offered the welcome remarks.
We also had the esteem of having goodwill messages from Muhammad Mamman Nami, Executive Chairman of Federal Inland Revenue Service and Shubham Chaudhuri, World Bank Country Director for Nigeria.
There were different sessions that entailed a discussion on the necessity of digitalizing tax data, incentivizing business recovery through tax incentives, improving tax environment through tax consolidation, and discussing the Finance Bill and implications for business and governments.
