Youths of Enugu State have commended Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for encouraging them to get involved in politics and process of governance.
They also applauded the governor for his administration’s youth-friendly policies and programmes in the state, which they said, have brought the younger ones together to chart a new course for the future.
Speaking during the unveiling of a book titled: Power Shift in Enugu, the author, Nonso Nnamani, stressed that Ugwuanyi, who got a loud ovation from the youth during his arrival at the event, had helped them to get involved in governance.
Nnamani, who is passionate about good governance, explained that the power shift was not just a shift to the people, but an advocacy for people to get involved to ensure that government at all levels succeed.
He pointed out that when people are involved in politics, their actions and inactions would go a long way to shape the future of Nigeria.
Representative of Ezeagu Constituency, Hon. Chima Obieze, Special Adviser to the Governor on Agriculture, Michael Ogbuekwe, his SMEs Development counterpart, Arinze Chilo-Offiah, member of the Enugu State Universal Basic Education Board (ENSUBEB), Beloved-Dan Anike and Special Assistant to Ugwuanyi on Students’ Affairs, Chidi Ilogebe, were present at the event.
Others are Special Assistant to the governor on Media (Radio), Ken Onyekaonwu, his Culture and Tourism counterpart, Monday Diamond and Executive Director, LEAD Network Africa and Founder of CEO Media, Chukwuma Ephraim Okenwa, among others.
