In a pioneering move towards cleaner and more efficient transportation, the Governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun, has commissioned the introduction of a new fleet of electric bikes, tricycles, electric vehicles, and CNG tricycles, along with strategically placed battery swap stations.
He added that the first phase will see the release of 2,000 e-bikes, capable of riding up to 80 km on a full charge, and vehicles up to 200 km, potentially reducing transport costs by up to 40 percent.
This initiative aims to significantly reduce the carbon footprint and aligns with the Energy Transition Roadmap for a cleaner, healthier future in Nigeria.
