One of the objectives of the 2009 re-structuring of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum Secretariat was the imperative to forge strategic partnerships with relevant partners both within and outside the country. At the international front, the Forum interfaces with the National Governors’ Association in the United States, International Development Partners such as
Locally, the Forum through its Secretariat partners with Ministries, Departments & Agencies (MDAs) which include
the Millennium Development Goals Office (MDGs), Federation Accounts Allocation Committee (FAAC) amongst others.
These agencies are cognizant of the potential of the NGF as a veritable platform to accelerate development in the states.
