Jigawa State governor, Muhammad Badaru Abubakar, and his Kebbi State counterpart, Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, on Wednesday visited Governor Aminu Masari to commiserate with him and the people of Katsina State over the fire incident that engulfed sections of the Katsina central market.
The two governors announced the donation of N20m each as their contribution to cushion the effect of the fire and help the victims pick up again.
They asked Almighty Allah to replenish whatever was lost during the inferno and prevent future occurrence.
Also, the Senator representing Katsina Central Senatorial Zone, Kabir Abdullahi Barkiya, donated N20m to the victims of Katsina Central market fire disaster.
Barkiya made the donation Wednesday when he visited the affected market to sympathise with the traders over the disaster.
The senator urged the victims to take the sad incident as fate, adding that no amount of money will compensate their loses, while praying Allah to come to their aid and compensate them.
In his remarks, Governor Masari expressed his appreciation to all those who have shown concern over the incident, saying people were already making financial donations even without a formal setting up of an appeal fund to assist the affected traders.
Masari said as at Tuesday, over N170m donations had been made by different donors.
