Kaduna State governor, Malam Nasir el-Rufai, has given his approval and assurance to support Eargasm for Charity Musical Concert scheduled to take place in Kaduna on the 31st August, 2018.
The concert is put together by Fusion Nigeria, a youth and community organisation working in Kaduna which promoted the ‘vote not fight’ campaign during the build up to the 2015 general elections. The concert is expected to have Tuface Idibia (2baba), Jeremiah Gyang, Aituaje Iroube (Waje) DJ Neptune, Abimbola Arowosele (Bimbo 9ja) alongside some Kaduna based musicians performing.
El-Rufai who gave the assurance for support through his commissioner for Youth, Sports and Culture, Hon. Daniel Danauta when the crew of fusion Nigeria paid him a courtesy visit preparatory to the concert, disclosed that the present administration is committed towards making Kaduna a hub for entertainment activities.
“The musical concert is a welcomed development and as government, we will give the needed support to make it a huge success. Plans are also on the way to make Kaduna a hub for entertainment activities. So, the partnership of the state government in anyway possible is assured,” he said.
Earlier, the Fusion Nigeria team leader, Nentawe Gomiyar who disclosed that the concert is to hold at the gymnasium hall of Ahmadu Bello Stadium from 4pm informed that the musical concert will provide job opportunities for youths, technical capacity building and exposure.
According to the team leader, Fusion Nigeria which is part of the global Fusion movement which is not for profit youth and community organisation which have a deep and ongoing commitment to developing resilience in individuals lives.
